2 Lecture- Classification, risk factors and pathophysiology of hypertension
This topic includes- Primary or essential hypertension, secondary hypertension, modifiable risk factors of hypertension and pathophysiology of hypertension.
3 Lecture- Clinical features of hypertension
This lecture contains symptoms of hypertension and also the sign that can be present in a hypertensive patient.
4 Lecture: Measurement of BP
This lecture includes how to measure BP practically, which hand should be used and how many reading should be taken.
5 Lecture: Diagnosis of hypertension
This lecture covers practical aspect of diagnosis of hypertension.
6 Lecture: Management of hypertension
After the end of this lecture students will be able to manage hypertension confidently- when to start drug, when to start single, double or triple drug, when to increase dose or add other drug, choice of drug, possible side effect of drug.
7 Lecture antihypertensive drugs
After successful completion of this class students will be able to learn details about antihypertensive drugs, dose, side effects and management of side effects.
8 Lecture hypertensive crisis
This lecture describes hypertensive urgency, emergency and its management.
9 Lecture follow up and adherence
This lecture contains- follow up schedule of the hypertensive patient, what to ask and measure in follow up, how adherence can be imporved in hypertensive patient.
10 Lecture uncontrolled hypertension
This lecture contains- definition and causes of uncontrolled hypertension, how to approach a patient with uncontrol hypertension
11 Lecture Step down and prevention of hypertension
At the end of the session studnets will be able to learn when and how to reduce dose of antihypertensive drugs and how to do primary prevention of hypertension.
